| Profile | The Functional Chemicals Division is the newest division in Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited. Currently, its activity consists mainly of supplying products from Clariant associate companies - both through indents and through stock and sale - for the Indian Detergents, Crop Protection, Personal Care, Performance Chemicals and Metalworking & Oilfields markets.
It also has manufacturing facilities for laminating adhesives and a few other products. The success of laminating adhesives in local and export markets has prompted the division to begin manufacturing high performance adhesives and next generation solvent-less laminating adhesives. Commercial production of these items has begun and will help Clariant take advantage of the growing packaging market by providing its customers better functionality and prompt service.
The Detergents business, which offers anionic and cationic surfactants, as well as bleach activators, is a partner to the detergent industry. Performance Chemicals services industries such as personal care products, crop protection, paints, lacquers and plastics. The Process Chemicals business markets products and services for the production and refining of oil and natural gas and for metal-working, mining and the aerospace and automotive industries. |
